    yo!

check this out, a letter and read from WCCCA.... this is a good reach, here it is for all to check out, I've got an attachement (you should see it) from the COCT and government.

Good Day All Street Racers of the Fair City,

I am Ganief Creighton, the Chairperson of the Newly formed Western Cape Car Club Association(est. February 2009), which intends to unite all Car Clubs within the Western Cape and help sort out the needs of drivers. We are in the process of proposing the return to ""The PIVIES" (Strandfontein Pavilion) with council building a Spinning and Drifting track at the current Pavilion Braai Spots. We have received the support of the councillor in the Ward (Councillor Irma Jackson) and all the necessary support has been received even from the Mayor and Urban Renewal Projects (see attached letter from the CoCT). We achieved this within the first 3 months of the formation of the Association.

I would like you guys to consider affiliating the W.C.C.C.A in order to challenge the city's policies and even perhaps persuade them for another drag strip in the southern suburbs in order to uplift our communities. The W.C.C.C.A has set-up contacts within the CoCT and also has Consultants that know the CoCT policies and procedures. Attached is our Constitution drafted 4 months ago.

The only way we can pursue this is to gain strength in numbers as we did with the Spinners. There are currently 10 clubs affiliated to the W.C.C.C.A, mostly spinners, but we also have clubs that partake in other events. These Clubs are:

Cape Town Spinners (With 7's and Hitler - M/Plain, Elsies and Atlantis)
    F.O.R.D Spinners (with DRASTIES - M/Plain)
    Exact Spinners (Hanover Park)
    Spin Squad (M/Plain)
    Spin Addicts (M/Plain)
    Hell Ride Spinners (Blue Downs)
    Escort Boys (M/Plain)
    NIZMO - Nissan Driver's Club (M/Plain)
D'Boyz - FORD Owners Club (Ottery)
    Drift Doggs (Steenberg)
House Of Customs (Bad Mom & Strawberry Milkshake - M/Plain)
And to be honest, these clubs are fluorescing with the support of each other and that of the W.C.C.C.A. So now the next challenge will be to get us a proper drag strip or at least a section of road we can utilize.

Let us take the fight further and unite to show the CoCT how serious we are. Stop talking about it.... LET’S DO IT!!!!!

Please feel free to contact me for further info or just to debate further. Please forward this to as many clubs you know of and hope to hear from you guys.

Everyone is also welcome to join us at WCCCA General Meeting this Wednesday night at 20:00 at the Weltevrede Recreation Centre, Rocklands, Mitchell's Plain.

    Regards,

    Ganief Creighton
